Introduction to Repeewsenim

Repeewsenim takes everything you know about Minesweeper and flips it on its head.

Instead of nervously clicking around hoping not to hit a bomb, you already know where every bomb is from the start.

Your job is to fill in the board with the right numbers:

  • Each tile must show how many bombs are touching it (from 0 to 8).
  • When every tile has the correct value, the puzzle is solved.
  • It’s familiar, but your brain has to work in reverse. Instead of “Where are the mines?”, you’re constantly asking “Given these mines, what must this number be?”

How to Play Repeewsenim

  1. Look at the grid and mine layout. The bombs are already visible or marked, so there’s no guessing where they are.
  2. Fill each non-mine tile with a number from 0 to 8. The number shows how many mines are in the eight surrounding squares. A tile touching no mines should be 0, one mine should be 1, and so on up to 8.
  3. Use logic, not luck. Check how tiles interact: one wrong number can break the logic chain and throw off the entire board.
  4. Finish when every tile matches the mine pattern. Once all tiles display the correct values, you’ve successfully “decoded” the grid and cleared the puzzle.

Game Controls

Mouse

  • Left Click: Increase the value on a tile (cycles 0 → 1 → … → 8 → 0).
  • Right Click: Decrease the value (cycles 8 → 7 → … → 0 → 8).

Keyboard

  • Arrow Keys / Tab: Move the selection between cells.
  • Spacebar or Enter: Cycle through numbers 0–8 on the selected tile.
  • Number Keys (0–8): Instantly set that tile to the chosen value.

The game is also screen-reader friendly, so visually impaired players can enjoy the same logical challenge.

Tips to Get Better at Repeewsenim

Start with “obvious” tiles.

Corners and edges often have fewer surrounding bombs, so they’re easier to calculate first.

Think in clusters.

A single bomb influences up to eight tiles. When you place a number, always re-check the neighbors to see what it forces.

Use “max” situations.

If a tile is surrounded by bombs on all sides, it’s clearly an 8. Similarly, a tile with no adjacent bombs must be 0.

Avoid rushing.

One small mistake can ripple through the whole grid. Take a second to double-check before locking in tricky areas.

The more you play, the faster you’ll start spotting patterns and “seeing” the correct numbers without much trial and error.

Why Play Repeewsenim?

Repeewsenim is ideal if you:

  • Love classic Minesweeper but want something fresh,
  • Enjoy clean, logic-based puzzles with no randomness,
  • Want a quick brain workout that sharpens reasoning and attention to detail.

If you like the feeling of solving a tough Sudoku or a logic grid puzzle, Repeewsenim will fit right into your favorites.

Jump in, think in reverse, and see if you can number every tile perfectly.
